Vocational Rehabilitation Center for Handicapped Kolkata . Vocational Rehabilitation is one of the most tangible of all Rehabilitation Process, which gives the Persons with Disability, a meaningful place in facilitating human dignity in the society. The Government of India, through the Ministry of Labour & Employment, DG E & T, has been a pioneer in providing rehabilitation services through scientific and professional evaluation, combined with vocational counseling and training, now extended to a variety of mainstream services, being provided at Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped, Kolkata. The Centre has been functioning since 1976, and caters to the rehabilitative needs of Persons with Disability, in the age group of 15-50 years, residing, in the state of West Bengal.

 

Vision

Develop a successful sustainable service delivery system to touch the last person with disability to facilitate inclusion in the community with all human dignity. To facilitate opportunity for full participation, empowerment & integration as per the National and International perceptions on the Disabled.

Belief

• Skill levels need to be channelized to optimal capability
• Specific job operations requires particular functional ability.
• Except for particular limitation PwDs are able as anybody else.
• Given the right opportunity & responsive environment they excel on jobs.
• Relocating jobs suitable for PwDs within the organization.
